Halloween day (also known as All Saints' Day), like Christmas, is a festival of absorption and reinterpretation of Christianity's festivals of other cultures. The real date is November 1.
Halloween History
There are different opinions about the origins of Halloween. Most believe that the traditional Celtic people from the British Celtic celebrate the harvest (maybe the late summer festival). According to legend, all kinds of evil spirits haunted this day, and the souls of those who died will also leave the underworld and walk around the world. This night is especially dangerous. To scare away evil ghosts, the Celtics will wear masks.
In ancient times, the Irish believed that the undead would return to the world between October 31 and November 1. Therefore, customary people were wearing strange costumes and parades to drive ghosts.
Halloween Activities
"Trick or Treat!" is one of the main activities of Halloween, mainly popular in the English world, such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and other regions. Children dressed as ghosts, door-to-door, ringing the neighbor's doorbell, yelling "Trick or Treat!", the host (maybe also wear horror clothes) will come up with some candy, chocolate or small gifts, some people will give you some change.
Traditional Halloween decorations include zombies, ghosts, witches, demons, and more. A typical dress is a white sheet covered with two eyelets to make a ghost.
Some merchants also launched a lucky pumpkin game for Halloween 2019. Earn prizes directly by playing games, or collect pumpkin redemption gifts.
